This is a cool video that I found when I typed in, "Evolution of Cinema". This video was one of the top viewed videos that I found and I find it interesting and creative. If you're interested in film or how it began then this is a rather short explanation to slightly wet the appetite. Using imagery to explain something is a plus. Also, the video creator isn't too shabby of a sketch artist and it makes this video entertaining as well as informative. Enjoy.

Week 7 Post
In lieu of this week's chapter I decided to post a video about the basics of setting up an audio mixer. There are a bunch of wires to input and a bunch of ports to put them into. It's rather simple once you understand the basics of it. If you can't hook up your own home stereo then this video will probably make you feel sick, so you should probably go back and look at that Sony surround system manual a few more times over and understand what you're doing before you watch a vid like this.
I went to school (briefly) for Audio Engineering so i found this chapter to be a breeze and this video to depict exactly what I was doing in class. We held class in a studio. It was cool.
If you sit through the entirety of this vid (a mind-blowing 15 minutes) then you will have the basic understanding of how to hook up an audio mixer like this one.
Enjoy.

Week 6 Post
Okay, so we are now directed to change our posts within our Blogs so I decided to post this small clip about Cory Booker entitled, "Who is Cory Booker?" It's short and simple. It is posted by The New York Times and gives an extremely brief description of the runner-up for senator of our glorious Garden State of New Jersey. With all of the election hoopla fluttering around the news, radio and social networking sites I deemed this an appropriate topic for a post.

Week 5 Post
There's this old movie about Buffalo's apparently (the entire film is actually on YouTube) and some genius made this gem and posted it to YouTube. It makes me laugh every time. It once again shows the glory of the Internet and how just about anyone can take an old movie and make it into something completely different. Go ahead...watch it. You'll laugh at the ridiculousness of it all and wish you had a buffalo of your own to ride.

Week 4 Blog
This is my dog, Nucky, when he was about 2 months or so old. This is his first time experiencing the mysterious cold, powdery white stuff. A total amateur vid-taker held the phone the wrong way while taking the video. Its been about 10 months since and he hasn't grown all that much. His ears perked up and he likes to go hiking with me and he likes to run around like a maniac in my apartment.
His name was derived from the character, "Nucky Thompson" from HBO's Boardwalk Empire. The character portrays Enoch "Nucky" Johnson. I loved the show so much that I bought and read the book about Nucky and Atlantic City's birth, failure and rebirth. My dog wears a metal carnation on his collar as the real person wore a carnation on his lapel.
