Week 16 Post

This is the last post for the class. This video is dedicated to our COM 104 teacher. It shows the glory and beauty of the Dominican Republic, the place from which the professor hails. This may not be a scholastic post, however I figure it would be a fitting tribute to a professor who inspired us all to excel in the ever-growing world of video production. Bravo professor. Bravo.

It contains a 5.1 Surround Mixer, a bunch of small monitors, ample space behind the editing stations, audio mixers and more. In this particular video, the team is prepping for the X Games. The beauty of this remote truck, or any remote truck, is that it brings the studio into the field for a faster and better production.

Week 13 Post

Chapter 13 asks us why we edit, and how the basic principles of editing are accomplished. This video shows the basic use of an editing program called, Final Cut Pro. It is a fantastic program that can allow the editor to accomplish dreams, if he or she knows how. With a program as versatile, easy to use and accessible as this, it's no wonder Final Cut Pro is the most popular editing program on the market. This simple video-tutorial will inspire the would-be-editor in their daunting task of post-film manipulation.
